DAVIS, Calif. (October 13, 2010) – Arcadia Biosciences, Inc., an agricultural technology company focused on developing technologies and products that benefit the environment and human health, today announced that it has named James F. Karr to the position of director, strategic development. Karr will focus on the development and execution of strategic opportunities for Arcadia’s nutrition business.
Karr joins the company from GOJO Industries where he served as vice president, business development and innovation. Karr has also held health care and nutrition management positions with Kimberly-Clark, Monsanto Company, Henkel Nutrition, Sterling Health, and Bristol-Myers-Squibb. Within these roles, he has demonstrated his effectiveness in the identification of market needs and the application of innovative technologies to capitalize on them.
For Arcadia, Karr will help build upon the company’s recent launch of SONOVA 400™ high GLA Safflower Oil by guiding strategic investments to expand the product portfolio and strategic partnership base.
